Our goal is to serve the business, technology and academic communities through the IoT Forum’s goal to grow and influence deep understandings of IoT business value, applications, use cases and market opportunities for enterprise through education, technology integration and the recruitment of business stakeholders subsequently positioning North Texas as a global leader in IoT. Tech Titans currently has initiatives working in North Texas for Smart Cities/Smart Buildings, a partnership with the White House and UT Dallas, called US Ignite, a monthly speaker series and annual IoT Conference and innovation in Industrial IoT. Peter was Tech Titans 2015 volunteer of the year.
Formerly, Peter was the US General Manager for Enterprise Mobility Enablement for Samsung Telecommunications America, (STA). There, he developed Samsung's US GTM enterprise strategy, built and ran Samsung's enterprise overlay support organization enabling US Wireless Carriers to better position Samsung mobile devices and wireless business applications to carrier’s healthcare & business customers. His team developed solutions hardened mobile security solutions such as Samsung’s SAFE TM mobile platform. SAFE TM represents the family of Samsung Enterprise solutions that include the necessary security and feature enhancements suitable for business use. Features that keep company data secure within SAFE TM include: Advanced Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync features, On-device AES 256-bit encryption, VPN connectivity, Top-tier, multivendor Mobile Device Management support. He also managed STA’s enterprise pre and post sales engineering organization, enterprise product planning and strategic alliances relationship team and STA's enterprise ISV and SI integration efforts. Additionally Peter ran Samsung’s enterprise M2M business in the United States focusing on Enterprise and Consumer deployments of M2M solutions in CPG, mHealth, Smart Home and Retail deployments
Previously at Accenture, he was responsible for North and South American Business Development & Alliances in the Mobile Application Solutions Practice within Systems Integration &Technology, (SI&T). In this role at Accenture, he was responsibility for all Mobility pursuits in the Americas. He managed over $250M of sales opportunity pipeline; authored new Accenture Mobility internal and external collateral, case studies and Point of View’s, managed all of Accenture global Knowledge Management for the Mobility practice. Peter collaborated with all partners/Senior Executives in all verticals and horizontals globally throughout Accenture; and managed all Accenture Mobility alliance relationships globally. Pete
led Accenture’s Mobility Alliance relationships with Microsoft, AT&T, Dexterra & Vettro, (bought by Antenna, now Pega Systems), Sybase, (now SAP), ClickSoftware, Pyxis Mobile, (now Verivo), Syclo, (now SAP), Motorola, (now Google), and many others while managing the group’s new business pipeline and opportunity generation efforts.
At Capgemini, Peter was a North American leader in the Mobile Practice for the United States and Canada. He focused on application development, platform integration services, mobile strategy engagements, M2M and IoT deployments and SaaS, PaaS and Managed Mobility opportunities. Peter helped author Capgemini Mobility mobile strategy methodology, case studies and points of view for the practice, as well as performed delivery oversight of application development, platform integration, strategy engagements and pursuit progress and P & L. He collaborated with senior executives in verticals and horizontals globally throughout company, managed Capgemini Mobility alliance relationships globally, worked to develop new offerings in TEMS, Social Media, Omni/All Channel Experience, Mobile POS Integration, Managed Security, Container and Hypervisor capabilities and worked closely with SAP, SFDC, Mobile Iron, AirWatch (now a VMware company) SOTI, IBM and KONY on all facets of their respective enterprise mobility platforms.
From the academic perspective, Peter collaborated on the book, "Managing the Mobile Workforce" by David Clemons and Michael Kroth, Ph.D. (11/2010, McGraw Hill). Peter contributed as one of 30+ collaborators on the newly published book. The project included noted business author Stephen Covey, Sharon Allen, Chairperson of Deloitte, and other noted business leaders including executives from KPMG, HP, and others, as a management book on mobile workforce alignment.
From an industry leadership perspective, Peter was Samsung’s representative to Microsoft’s global Mobility Partner Engagement Board, (MPEB), for 2009 through 2011, and was Accenture’s representative to Microsoft’s global Mobility Partner Advisory Council, (MPAC), in 2008. He also has and currently sits on the technical and business boards of several start-up companies, such as Atom Nanoelectronics (current), Opus-3 (current), Tech Titans (Current), NEX Innovation Center (Current), Bitzer Mobile (purchased by Oracle in 2013), Cloudmasons, (purchased in 2012), Connect2.me (Current), WavCatcher (current) and others. Peter was a delegate to the IoT World Forum in 2014.
A globally renounced speaker on the topics of Mobility and IoT, Peter was the 2014 and 2015 Chair for IQPC’s Mobility in Oil and Gas and Mobile Enterprise series, chairing events in Houston, Calgary and London, contributor to the M6/M Enterprise Mobility events, conference co-chair for the IoT6xChange conference, in Dallas, TX, and speaker on IoT for organizations such as IEEE and TIE. In 2016 Peter will again be speaking at the IQPC Oil & Gas Mobility Conference, Houston, TX in May, The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) National Conference in Dallas, TX in June, Chairing the Internet of Manufacturing Conference in Chicago, IL in October and Co-Chairing of the IoT6 Conference in San Antonio, in November.
Overall, Peter has more than 35 years of telecommunications experience and has delivered over $3 Billion Dollars in sales and revenue generation. Prior to Capgemini, Samsung and Accenture, he held executive positions and lead efforts at major communications and consulting firms such as Harris, GTE/Verizon, Sprint, Global Crossing, EDS, and BearingPoint.
Based in Frisco, TX, Peter holds an AB in Politics from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.
