PSA, Envision partner to apply AI, IoT for smart port operations

Smart port project to streamline shipments through Singapore

PSA Corporation, which operates the world’s largest container transshipment hub in Singapore, and Envision Digital International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the fields of engineering, technology, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (AIoT) to develop a smart port.

Under the terms of the agreement, PSA and Envision will share and exchange expertise on industry concepts, technical architectures, systems and case studies relating to the development of a sustainable and smart port, the two partners said.

PSA and Envision will also exchange capability on application knowledge in AIoT and engage in EnOS operating system training. EnOS is the AIoT operating system developed by Envision, and currently connects and manages over 60 million smart devices and over 100GW of energy assets globally. 

Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO of PSA International, said, “PSA is excited to collaborate with and learn from like-minded and innovative partners such as Envision, to add valuable breadth and depth to both our companies’ fields of expertise. In particular, we hope to grow new capabilities and leverage leading-edge technologies towards the creation of intelligent and energy efficient port systems, enabling us to excel in energy sustainability, while in pursuit of our goal for greater supply chain orchestration.”  

Zhang Lei, CEO of Envision Group, said, “We are very honoured to sign this MoU with PSA to develop capabilities on Smart Ports and Smart Energy using our flagship AIoT Operating System, the EnOSTM  and PSA’s rich domain knowledge. We will work together with PSA to develop new capabilities and create new business opportunities.”  

PSA also offers cargo solutions to customers operating in advanced manufacturing, cold chain, e-commerce, and energy & chemicals.

PSA Singapore is a fully owned subsidiary of PSA International. With port operations in Singapore and Antwerp, Belgium, PSA’s portfolio comprises a network of over 50 coastal, rail and inland terminals in 18 countries.

Envision Digital is a global AIoT technology specialist headquartered in Singapore. Based on EnOS, Envision Digital offers integrated products and solutions for Smart Energy, Smart Building, Smart Industrial, Smart Mobility, Smart City, and other domains, which serve global energy utility, industrial and city government clients. Singapore’s Government Technology Agency is also using EnOS to develop an in-house device management and data acquisition system. 

Envision Digital said it is building a comprehensive AIoT and Smart City ecosystem with partners around the world including Microsoft, Keppel, Sonnen, ChargePoint and Protectwise.
