Steve Brumer, Partner at 151 Advisors has over 25 years experience in the wireless/mobile space and has unprecedented knowledge of the industry. During his accomplished career, Steve has been a dynamic entrepreneur with proven expertise in sales, marketing, and channel development. His expertise is helping wireless/mobile products and services find the right distribution and channels to ensure commercial success.

Before joining 151 Ventures, Steve co-founded and served as CEO of Wireless Rain which helped wireless carriers, manufacturers and solution providers build channel programs for B2B products, machine-to-machine products, and professional services.

Prior to Wireless Rain, Steve co-founded and served as President of Global Wireless Data, a national master dealer and value-added distributor of wireless products and services. Under his tenure GWD grew from a self-funded start-up to the largest master dealer for AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Earlier in his career, Steve founded and served as CEO of Wireless Data Corp, and held executive management positions at Millicom Radio, Timeplex, Ossmann Computer Technologies, and RAM Mobile Data & BellSouth Wireless.

Steve serves as a Board Member of Maverick Wireless, Georgia Technology Council, Mobile Enterprise Magazine, CTIA’s Wireless Internet Caucus, and the Enterprise Mobility Foundation.

 

As a founding team member of Praetorian, a leading provider of information security assessment and advisory services, Paul Jauregui is responsible for all aspects of marketing, branding, and communications. Paul is also acting business lead for Praetorian’s Internet of Things (IoT) services, working alongside a team of security engineers who provide end-to-end IoT penetration testing—from edge to cloud—for today’s leading organizations, including GE, Whirlpool, Netgear, Kimberly-Clark, Ingenu, Ayla Networks, J&J, and others.

Microsoft recently recognized Praetorian as a “best-in-class” Internet of Things (IoT) global auditing partner and a founding member of its new Security Program for Azure IoT. In addition to leading partnership initiatives with IoT suppliers, Paul’s creative work in advancing IoT security has been featured by Fortune Magazine, NBC News, BusinessWeek, and TechCrunch.

Paul is currently focused on leveraging his team’s deep security expertise to help clients gain confidence that their place in the next wave of technological innovation is secured.

 

Jon Clay is a Cyber Security Expert for Trend Micro with 20 years of experience in the security industry and almost 30 years in technology.  He is responsible for managing marketing messages and external publication of all the threat research and intelligence within Trend Micro as well different core technologies.

As an accomplished public speaker with hundreds of speaking sessions around the globe, Jon focuses on the threat landscape and the use of big data in protecting against today’s sophisticated threats.  Jon has held roles within Trend Micro as a Sales Engineer, Sales Engineering Manager, Training Manager and Product Marketing Manager for SMB prior to taking over as Director of Global Threat Communications.

He has a BS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University.  This experience has given him a broad technical background and understanding of the security requirements of businesses as well as an excellent understanding of the threat landscape.

 

Shane Rooney is an Executive Director at the GSMA on the Connected Living Programme. Bringing together strategies and synergies across the M2M verticals and the wider IoT ecosystems. Shane had previously led the GSMA’s initiative in developing mobile solutions in Smart Cities and collaborating with cities like Barcelona, Dubai and Shanghai. His team has developed a wider range of Smart City Indicators, Case Studies and Business Cases demonstrating the importance of mobile technology. They also have developed enablers in IoT Security and embedded SIM. Previously he has been a Group Vice President with Etisalat developing solutions for Energy, Security and Transport M2M solutions for Middle East, Africa and Asia. Previously he has worked with other Mobile Operators, Vodafone, Hutchison and 3 UK as well as launching and divesting of his own M2M company. Shane pioneered early telematics and connected car solutions for Ford Motor Company in the USA and Europe. He has extensive Global experience. He holds a PhD in Communications Systems specialising in Location Based Services and studied Business Marketing at IMD Switzerland.

 

Mahesh Kodukula has over 16 years of experience working in wireless communication and IoT device industries. He received his Ph.D. degree in Solid State Physics from Indian Institute of Technology and pursued M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University Of Illinois, Chicago. Currently he is a Market Segment Manager at 7layers focusing on IoT businesses and technologies related to numerous vertical markets. In this role, he is involved in providing test services and helping customers take their products faster to market. Prior to 7layers, he worked at couple of wireless device startups. Other notable companies he worked for include Nokia and Motorola, where he has held positions of increasing responsibility in Engineering, product development and marketing. He has launched mobile devices in worldwide markets and provided system engineering infrastructure solutions to global network operators.
