Entel partners with Cisco Jasper to launch IoT services in Chile

Local enterprises will be able to launch IoT through the operator’s network and Cisco Jasper platform

Chilean telecom operator Entel and Cisco Jasper announced the launch of internet of things (IoT) services in the South American nation.

Through this new partnership, businesses and industries across Chile will be able to deliver new IoT services through Entel’s mobile network using the Cisco Jasper managed connectivity platform.

“Businesses throughout Chile are pursuing IoT to help reduce costs, introduce new services and drive new revenues,” said Julián San Martín, VP Corporate Markets at Entel. “Together with Cisco, Entel will be the trusted partner for companies looking to accelerate their IoT success. The Cisco Jasper IoT platform will provide our customers with the best solution for managing and monetizing their IoT service businesses.”

With Cisco Jasper Control Center, Entel’s business customers will be able to increase productivity and manage costs.

Cisco Jasper Control Center enables IoT services including Fleet Management; Security & Home Automation; Retail & Point of Sale (PoS); Connected Health and Smart Metering.

Cisco Jasper partners with 33 mobile operator groups representing over 120 mobile networks worldwide, making it simple for those businesses to scale their IoT services to other countries as needed.

Arxan Technologies targets Japan and APAC markets with new reseller agreement

In related news, Arxan Technologies, a provider of application protection and management solutions has signed a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with Mitsubishi Electric Information Systems Corporation (MDIS), which will allow MDIS to market and sell Arxan products in Japan, specifically focusing on the finance and internet of things (IoT) markets.

The new agreement will extend customer service and sales to Financial and IoT markets in Japan, which has a huge potential for leveraging Arxan solutions with existing and new MDIS and Mitsubishi Group customers.

Headquartered in the U.S, Arxan is a global provider of Application Protection and Management products for Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile, Desktop, and other platforms for consumer, employee, and B2B applications.
